This image will haunt me and the rest of Dodger Nation for months to come. We can’t blame Ellis though. He was doing what any reasonable ball-player would do in a game like tonight’s. We needed to be aggressive and that’s what Mark did. The game was on the line and third-base was just another 90ft away. Mark is a more than well-rounded player on both sides of the game and can’t be put down for the effort he made tonight. The whole team came up empty when it mattered and that’s the harsh truth. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait till next October for post-season ball… and it will happen. With everything that went wrong halfway through the season, our boys still went far considering they were in the race with a team who got to where they are now by cheating. Fuck that shit, at least we know our guys aren’t a bunch of headstrong meat-heads juicing it up to win All-Star awards and Division Championships. Dodger Nation 2013 is looking tight and we will go far. Plus, Chipper deserves a ring for his final season in the show. That dude was a Dodger fan growing up. Respect :).
